A solo piano album entirely dedicated to the work of Marcello Tupinambá (pseudonym of Fernando Lobo), Sombra e Luz includes intimate readings of sixteen compositions, including the unreleased Hora Anônima, Miragem and the title track Sombra e luz. Mehmari finds a balance between being faithful to the essence and transparency of the original and bringing his unmistakable fingerprint through arrangements full of references and reverence to the great tradition that formed him as a composer and performer.
