This album is back in print having been originally released in 1992 on Metal Blade/Warner Bros. It's my first instrumental record and came about as a result of a jam with bass player Kirk Alley and a conversation in 1984 with Terry Bozzio whose drum playing on this album helps make it so appealing. These events inspired me to make an instrumental recording, something I had not attempted before. It was written and produced by myself and Patrick Schunk. Of all the albums I have ever done this is my favorite. I hope you enjoy it too. TURN IT UP LOUD! Earl Slick
Guitarist Earl Slick has been recording some of the smoothest guitar around since before the current guitar gods were toilet trained. His early work with David Bowie... -- Jon Epstein
In Your Face is, Slick says, based mostly on feel and emotion. (Aural stimulation, if you will.) A far cry from the narcissistic musical indulgences of many instrumentalists... -- Sean English - Venice magazine
In this day of Satriani clones and GIT-grad Stevie Vai wannabes, it's fun to hear an original rock guitarist jam on tunes with some meat. Slick embraces mid-tempo rockers... -- Sammy Prestianni - Rox Underground
