Discovered by Ray Charles, Sarah Morrow is the first female instrumentalist to become a member of his orchestra. Currently taking Europe by "storm" with her dynamic live performances. This is her first solo recording!

Touring with the legendary Ray Charles from 1995 through 1997, she left the group only to join Foley, Miles Davis' lead bass player, in Europe as part of a three-horn section playing funk. Sarah continued playing in the funk scene, not only with Foley, but also with such legends as Bootsy Collins, Catfish Collins, and Fred Wesley, among many others. After this, she returned to Europe to tour with Grammy award-winning vocalist Dee Dee Bridgewater, performing in a big band directed by Cecil Bridgewater.

Since 1998 Sarah has continued to perform with Ms. Bridgewater internationally and has played and/or toured with saxophonist Ricky Ford, the Duke Ellington Orchestra, pianist Hank Marr, drummer Jim Rupp, and flutist James Spaulding. She recently toured England and Spain with saxophone great David Murray in his octet's tribute to John Coltrane. A current SMASH in Europe, Sarah Morrow is currently taking the country by storm rising fast to the top of that "new breed" of passionate jazz musicians.

Hardworking, communicative, educated, and American (from Columbus, OH), Morrow’s uniquely lush sound and strong sense of rhythm have enabled her to make waves among a growing audience. Her quintet has performed and received rave reviews at numerous jazz festivals world-wide.
