Lady Hardanger - Not Fighting Gravity (2024) [Hi-Res]

Lady Hardanger embarked on a journey from the west coast of Norway, stumbled into a gumbo pot in Louisiana, and discovered beautiful pop melodies in the underground scene of Berlin. They have spent a cold February month in Crete, where they wrote their fourth album, "Not Fighting Gravity." This collection of songs was composed on a rooftop terrace during moments of sunlight between heavy rain showers.

The band members come from diverse backgrounds in folk music, performing arts, and pop music. They have learned from people and musicians in the swamps of Louisiana, the mountains of Greece, drum circles in the Caribbean, bars in Oslo's east side, and secluded valleys on the west coast of Norway. The band consists of musicians who are also known from Frøkedal & Familien, Bergen Mandolinband, and Stanley Brinks & The Kaniks.
