Florent Vollant, auteur-compositeur, interprète iconique de la nation Innu, originaire du Labrador, c’est à Mani-Utenam après sa déportation sur la Côte-Nord du Québec qu’il compose ses premiers accords et fait ses premières collaborations musicales.
Co-fondateur du groupe Kashtin, qui connaît un succès retentissant dans les années 90. Lauréat de nombreux prix dont les chansons font le tour du monde, Florent entreprend une carrière solo qui le projette de nouveau sur les plus grandes scènes du Canada et au-delà.

Tshitatau, est le 6e album de cet artiste accompli, toujours inspiré par son territoire et son peuple dont les sonorités folks résonnent entre les rives du Saint-Laurent et jusqu’aux cimes de la forêt boréale.
Enregistré dans son studio, le Studio Makusham, situé au cœur même de sa communauté, entouré de sa famille et de ses amis, que que Tshitatau, qui signifie: Vous étiez là, prend racine.
Les chansons sont des fragments de mémoires soigneusement coécrites en innu-aimun avec André Lachance, réalisateur, compositeur multi-instrumentiste et partenaire de scène de longue date,
C’est dans une totale complicité artistique, que les deux musiciens produisent cette œuvre complète, réalisée par André Lachance et porté par la voix authentique et poignante de Florent Vollant.

Florent Vollant is an iconic performer, author-composer of the Innu nation, originally from Labrador. It was in Mani-Utenam after his deportation to Quebec's North Shore that he composed his first chords and made his first musical collaborations.
Co-founder of the group Kashtin, which enjoyed resounding success in the 90s, he is the winner of numerous awards, whose songs have toured the world. Florent embarked on a solo career that has taken him back to the biggest stages in Canada and beyond.
Tshitatau is the 6th album from this accomplished artist, always inspired by his land and his people, whose folk sounds resonate from the shores of the St. Lawrence to the peaks of the boreal forest.
Recorded in his studio, Studio Makusham, in the very heart of his community, surrounded by family and friends, that Tshitatau, which means: You were there, is created.
