This collection contains a Randy Bachman side project with a band named Union. Randy Bachman is most well known for his work in the band Bachman-Turner Overdrive ('BTO'), but this album comes in a few years after their disbandment in 1978. Union is a reformed version of another short-lived band founded by Randy by the name of Ironhorse. As a BTO fan, you might find this album fairly interesting.
This album features a song called Keep The Summer Alive. This song was co-written with Carl Wilson of The Beach Boys, who would release the song one year earlier in 1980, slightly renamed to Keepin' The Summer Alive. This version of the song would supposedly be the original version before it was polished for The Beach Boys to release. In fact, it may just be the original backing track to the song, with vocals added from the members of Union.
I've decided to upload the entire album here, as it has never been reissued in any official capacity since 1981. There was an unofficial remaster made and released on CD in Russia in 2010, and that CD features the full album in quite decent sound quality, but the entirety of side A plays much faster than intended on the CD, and it's very noticeable with the transition to the second half.
For the sake of comparison, I've included both versions of the album. The vinyl rip is good enough to pass as a proper digital master on its own, so you wouldn't need the CD version anyway.
