Halfway between refined alternative folk, jazz spontaneity, and experimental songwriting, "The Saint" is the debut album of Nic T, a musician from Vicenza, Italy.

Available as streaming, digital download and in a limited edition 12'' vinyl with artwork by the artist himself, this debut comes after over 15 years of diligent research to find one's own voice in the immense sea of English-language songwriting.

The rich and eclectic arrangements, playing with counterpoint and unconventional timbral combinations, develop around melodic lines and harmonic progressions that intertwine and dialogue with the voice,
often used in multiple registers that push the singer to the limit.

From Elliot Smith-like ballads to moments of sonic obliqueness (Sonic Youth, Pavement), a quirky refinement akin to Beck, and the lyrical power of English psych folk troubadours like Robert Wyatt and Kevin Ayers.

Nic T's songs rely on a sense of spontaneity and freedom with maximum openness of forms and structures. For years self-produced not out of necessity but to follow a unique and singular path, the singer-songwriter uses a creative process that overlaps entirely with the recording process, aiming solely for the sense of authenticity that spontaneous performances can evoke when 'tainted' by imperfections and occasional ambient noises, thus attesting to the craftsmanship and truthfulness of the performative
act.
