Alexei Orechin - Montréal Sessions I (2024)

This is the first release of a three-part Montréal Sessions EP triptych.

The Montréal recordings capture Orechin in a dreamlike state of inspired melodies, improvisations, and experiments all in a solo format. Live bedroom performances captured in mono, direct to tape onto a Swiss made Nagra 4.2.

The intimate nature of the recordings create an atmosphere of oneness with the listener. Through his playing, Orechin defies the space between communicator and receiver. His thoughts and emotions flow freely with each melody; full of introspection, rhythm, laughter, discovery, and above all, silence.
