Hatsune Hirakura - Wheel of Time (2023) Hi-Res

This is the first studio recording by pianist Hatsune Hirakura, who appeared like a comet on the Japanese jazz scene. Having just graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2020, Hatsune Hirakura is already recognized by everyone as a first-class player who is unrivaled in popularity. This work features two maestros, Atsushi Ikeda (as) and Yosuke Inoue (b), who are as far apart in age as father and son, and tackles pre-war American standards. With their young sensibilities and outstanding expressiveness, they cut into the standards with their own unique interpretations. Recorded at Taro Okamoto's studio in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo.
