Ayün invites you on a musical journey to the southern continents through the emblematic sound of the “ronroco”. The distinctive sound of this legendary instrument, originating in the Andean highlands, transports us to faraway places through its contemplative, introspective and reflective musical style. The music evokes images, uniting landscapes and melodies, mixing tradition with modernity, connecting past and present to create a complete musical picture.

The word Ayün comes from Mapudungún, the native language of the indigenous Mapuche communities of Latin America. In addition to being used to express feelings of affection, the word Ayün also contains certain basic meanings at its roots, such as light and transparency.

Ayün is a project of the Argentinian musician and graphic designer Marco Turín, in which he sets out on a musical quest for his roots and origins in the Pampas region of Patagonia, Argentina. The first steps took form in 2020 on the shores of Lac Léman in Switzerland where the musician has worked in recent years. The project evolve between Bali, Indonesia, where he currently resides and in his native Argentina, where he grew up.
