Owl City - Maybe I'm Dreaming (2008)

The work of Adam Young, a songwriter, singer, and electronica artist from Minnesota, Owl City is heavily inspired by the Postal Service. Young crafts bedsitter indie pop with an emo sensibility complemented by lush, layered electronic soundscapes. On Maybe I'm Dreaming, he builds on the skills he was developing on Of June (recorded and issued originally in 2007), and turns in a strong effort, full of durable, breezy melodies, personal lyrics, and carefully orchestrated folktronica.
