Faytinga - Numey (2000)

The Cobalt label, which is distributed in this country by Sonidos Del Mundos, has some beautiful records on offer. On "Numey", Eritrean singer Faytinga presents delicate songs that sound almost Asian thanks to her high voice, percussion and different variations of the krar, a kind of lyre, but have a distinctly African feel thanks to the trance rhythm. Faytinga will be on tour in the fall.
