EL TUBO ELÁSTICO is a quartet consisting of Carlos Cabrera (percussion), Alfonso Romero (bass), Daniel González (guitar) and Vizen Rivas (guitar). The band started with a combined passion for 70s paragons like Yes, Genesis, Camel, King Crimson, as well as local andalusian rock bands. Gradually their music incorporated new elements from other musical styles and the evolution of progressive rock itself, inspired by bands like Ozric Tentacles, Liquid Tension Experiment or Porcupine Tree. The fusion of these diverse styles is achieved through an open creative process of intense improvisations.
It was in the summer of 2012 when Alfonso Romero, a close friend who was always besides the band, replaced one of the original members, Alejandro Zenón, to become their new bassist. 2015 then saw the eponymous debut album to be ready. In 2018 the follower album 'Impala' could be released, showing an eclectic blend of post/math, fusion, funk and art rock.
