Interestingly, the last reissue of Deep Purple's 4th album came out almost 30 years ago, with improved sound and bonuses, and not at all since then (but obviously it was reissued a couple of times.)

The cover is particularly visionary - but the durability of the music on the disc is not made by physical monuments, it is made eternal and immortal; but the fact that at least 3 generations have grown up on it in the past 55 years, and it is still on the shelves and collections of hundreds of thousands of people in some form of audio medium.

There are 8 flawless, perfect hard rock compositions on the album, which were made at the right time by 5 talented young people who wanted to make changes. Would it be interesting to philosophize about where the rock / metal genre would be today if this record had not been made then?
