Atmospheric journey through the Nordic Atlantis Where the North Sea is today, there once was a land called Doggerland. A lush landscape, with rich wildlife. When the ice melted, the sea rose. Around 6,500 years ago, the last remnants of Doggerland disappeared in the waves. The adventurous history of the Nordic Atlantis set the imagination of guitarist Steinar Karlsen in motion. This is how music turns out. Eleven melodious tracks with instrumental music take the listener on a journey to the land under the sea. Just like good film scores, the songs conjure up images of the mysterious Doggerland. In the dark blue there are also bright moods, painted with the guitar as a brush. With hints of blues and jazz, folk music and rock, Karlsen creates his distinctive musical palette. Steinar Karlsen is a versatile and sought-after musician. Doggerland is his eighth solo album. In addition, he has participated in dozens of recordings with other artists. He is particularly known for his sparkling guitar playing with the blues band Good Time Charlie. Steinar Karlsen lives in Hardanger in Norway.
