A member of the English branch of the Rothschild family, Pannonica de Koenigswarter moved to New York in the early 1950s and became a friend and confidante to many jazzmen. And not the least: Sonny Rollins, Horace Silver and Thelonious Monk—among others—dedicated magnificent compositions to her, gathered here for our greatest pleasure.
