Hitomi Nishiyama - Echo (2024)

"Echo" was born in response to the 2023 work "Dot". Recorded on the same day and with the same members as "Dot", this work contains seven colorful original songs with a strong storyline, in contrast to the prosaic and monochrome world of "Dot". The album unfolds like a suite, resonating with the performers and depicting a new world of Nishiyama Hitomi. The piano trio of Toru Nishijima (bass) and Ryo Noritake (drums) is at the core, and Takanori Suzuki (clarinet), Ryosuke Hashizume (saxophone), and maiko (violin) are added, and the irregular instrumental composition brings out the cooperation, touch, and warmth of life. 20 years have passed since the first work of his career, the self-produced album "I'm Missing You", and the inclination towards European jazz, the heavy metal project NHORHM, and the work on the song project have all come to fruition, making this a work full of vitality that powerfully expands the lyrical world that Nishiyama has cultivated so far.
