This Friday, Pacific Northwest singer-songwriter and guitarist Megan Brickwood returns with her beguiling debut album All The Same.

Recorded at the legendary Bear Creek Studio with producer Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers, Brandi Carlile), All the Same finds the artist diving deep into her sonic influences yet emerging with a sound all her own.

“Nick Drake certainly influenced my draw to certain open tuning sounds and fingerpicking styles on this album,” she tells Rock & Roll Globe. “I love the warmth and darkness of his writing. His work to me always feels like autumn. Even in his brighter songs, his work is always shot through with something ominous. You have some warnings or hints about the darkness even when he’s looking at the light. I think that same tendency showed up, for me, in writing this album. There’s a warmth and romanticism about life and relationships but also a consistent awareness and examination of life’s darker, heavier, prickly areas.”
