Gerardo Del Monte's album, “Step By Step Live in Studio,” is released by Filibusta, a piano-based trio featuring Gerardo Del Monte on piano, Giuseppe Di Pasqua on bass and Sergio Mazzini on drums. The album “Step by Step Live in Studio” is meant to be a journey between the past, the present and the future. A totally new and special work, recorded in the studio with the presence of the audience. The idea of the trio is to bring the various influences of individual artists into the songs: an example is on “Another Turn” with rock style or on “Alone Togerher” with contrapuntal arrangement inspired by Bach. The three members combine their musical backgrounds giving jazz a personal and eclectic form. The disc features tracks from the first work released in 2019, tracks from the solo piano disc released in 2023 and rewritten for trio, and some tracks from the work, still in progress, to be released in 2026. Line up: Gerardo Del Monte (piano), Giuseppe Di Pasqua (bass) and Sergio Mazzini (drums).
