In the fall of 2024, Gavin Friday's long-awaited new album "Ecce Homo", his first in over thirteen years, will be released via BMG. It is a work that heralds a broader, more sonorous form of expression for this ever-evolving artist, one that transcends the prescribed conventions of the genre, breaks new ground and brooks no compromise. While loss, filial grief, remorse and existential unease were the more striking tenets of Friday's 2011 release, the guiding spirit of "Ecce Homo" is altogether freer, less shackled and more commanding - and also indomitable. Self-tyranny and its capitulations have here been sublimated into strength and lasting triumph. The credo is that of a man who is seen, but never committed. "Ecce Homo" was recorded in Dublin and London and produced by Dave Ball (of Soft Cell), Michael Heffernan and Riccardo Mulhall.
