The debut album by the outstandingly unconventional German folk trio Lind is released as a CD in a digipack on CPL-Music.

The musicians have known and appreciated each other for quite some time. Karl Helbig (vocals, saxophone, tuba) grew up with klezmer and has a sound education as a jazz musician. Benni "Cellini" Gerlach (vocals, cello) comes from the dark scene and was a founding member of the band Letzte Instanz, Tim "Doc Fritz" Liebert (also Hüsch, vocals, forest zither, harmonica, stomp) has been washed in many folkloristic waters and often appears as a songwriting forest zither enthusiast. A cross-genre attempt to play music from home is the aim of Lind, who as a trio venture far out of their respective musical comfort zones.

The result is probably one of the most exotic plants in the newly blossoming German folk landscape. Full of technical finesse, wild joy of playing and with a touch of melancholy, Lind rework traditional folk music pieces from Thuringia and Saxony as well as lively original compositions. Ten astonishing and fascinating "Trad 'n' Roll" songs can be found on "De Leit", which document an astonishing common intersection of three individual roots enthusiasts.
