As another important part of our A7 winter reawakening, we're very happy to welcome Patrick Bebey, son of 70's / 80's Cameroonian experimentalist, musicologist and writer Frances ( his Coffee Cola song remains one of the big tracks of the era - covered by Patrick here.) to the label, with his album 'Ponda' The self titled first single from the album, Ponda, has been warmly received so far, with Gilles Peterson giving a glowing little premiere on his sat. show a couple of weeks ago, and the the albums' mixture of traditional pygmy flute, afro jazz and subtle electronic underpinning has been winning new friends across media since.
