Cosmic Swing Orchestra - Open Your Brain (2024) [Hi-Res]

Cosmic Swing Orchestra is a eleven piece jazz band dedicated to opening peoples’ brains to an anti-capitalist and noncommercial view of life.

The band was formed on Petter Dalane’s initiative in 2018, and since then Cosmic has grown to become a collective effort drawing on all the band members' strengths as musicians and human beings.

Heavily inspired by Sun Ra as an intellectual, musician, communicator and performer, our lyrics mainly revolve around issues such as the climate crisis, mass extinction, war and social in-equality. Like Sun Ra we juxtapose these serious themes with a sense of humour, for as the Dalai Lama famously said: “when people are laughing, they are open to changing their minds.”
