Ainur is a Kurdish singer who was awarded the 2021 WOMEX Artist Award and named the 2017 Master of Mediterranean Music by Berklee College of Music MI. Her voice and musical narrative reflect Kurdish musical heritage as an international genre. She combines traditional Kurdish music with the contemporary sensibility of Western music, making her albums popular among Kurds and recognized in Turkish and international media. Aynur has collaborated with renowned musicians including Yo-Yo Ma, Riccardo Muti and Kayhan Kalhor. She has also appeared in several important global music magazines and appeared in Fatih Akin and Morgan Neville's documentaries about Yo-Yo Ma and his ensemble. Ainur's measured and stunning voice has the ability to blend layers of human emotions, reaching every soul and uniting us for a moment in a single whole.
