Based in Denver, Teeth Of Glass is the project of electronic producer and composer Patrick R. Pärk. It’s become a bit of a cliché in electronic music to create a soundtrack for a movie that doesn’t exist, but, Päark elevates the trope to an entirely different level here. Teeth Of Glass has now released nearly 20 of these “soundtracks,” complete with detailed—and intriguing—plot summaries. Halloween Prom Massacre is one of the first in the series, and it delivers chills and thrills in equal measures. “In 1986, a young hitchhiker commits a series of murders at a remote Colorado high school dance on Halloween. A young punk accidentally destroys some crucial evidence about the killer; and after discovering a bloodbath in a hallway, he’s slaughtered by the Maniac.” As you listen, keep your baseball bat close, and your eyes on the exit.
