Ely Bruna - Elyxir (2016)

The third solo album by Ellie Bruna, a female vocalist who has risen to prominence as a featured vocalist for Papic, a producer active in the Italian pop-jazz field, and who has had success with her own solo albums and concerts in Japan (Blue Note) with Papic, is here! This time too, it is a calm, moist and nice vocal album that includes many 80s-90s pop covers produced by Papic. It's also a brilliant pop arrangement that effectively uses acoustic guitar and Fender Rhodes. Recommended songs include M09, a nostalgic hit by Maxi Priest, and M07, a brilliant duet with Alan Scaffardi. Ellie is actually from Mexico. There's a bit of an exotic charm to it.
