Aly Keïta - FARAFINKO (2010)

A solo balafon outing for the young Ivorian, whose previous album (featuring Keletigui Diabate and Dobet Gnahore) was a highlight of 2008. Keita is a musical explorer eager for collaborative projects, as in the Marula album (below), but here he stays true to his Mandingo heritage and demonstrates his instrumental and vocals skills on ten original compositions. Keletigui, the Malian balafon maestro, joins Aly on one track.
