Lucia Sarmiento - Escape (2025) [Hi-Res]

Peruvian-American saxophonist Lucia Sarmiento makes a bold debut with Escape, showcasing her contemporary jazz sound and versatility. Inspired by legends like Charlie Parker, Sonny Rollins, and John Coltrane, she later expanded her influences to include Michael Brecker and Chris Potter while studying at McNally Smith College of Music in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Her album Escape features eleven tracks, co-written with bassist Ry Dill, blending jazz, electronic textures, funk, and Latin influences. Tracks like Signal Flow introduce dreamy effects, while Look Up highlights her traditional jazz roots.
