Akira Jimbo - Saint Saint (2023)

This is a new work by Akira Jimbo, a top drummer who started his career as Cassiopeia's drummer in 1980 and has continued to be at the forefront, performing with top musicians around the world for over 40 years.
He has developed a unique performance style called a one-man orchestra that makes full use of the MIDI drum trigger system, and his unprecedented performance, which combines amazing performance techniques and modern technology, has overwhelmed viewers and has been praised not only in Japan but also around the world.
In 2021, in addition to releasing solo works, the legendary fusion unit “JIMSAKU” with Tetsuo Sakurai resumed activities for a limited time and released the long-awaited new album “JIMSAKUBEYOND”, which became a hot topic in the jazz/fusion world! Furthermore, in recent years, he has been releasing popular content such as the "OUCHIDEJIMBO" series every week on his YouTube channel, and you can't take your eyes off his ambitious and wide-ranging activities!
This work includes a contemporary jazz-oriented song featuring the piano of his ally Otomaro Louise, and a futuristic techno-oriented song featuring programming and drums, and is a work that packs the charm of Akira Jimbo into one album!
