Lewis Saccocci - Inceptum (2025)

Lewis Saccocci is a young lion of national jazz, a pianist and organist of pure talent who is carving out an important space for himself in the Italian jazz scene thanks to his undoubted qualities. This new chapter of his recording, which includes the release of two singles, Il Prenestinato on Friday 21 February and One for Sara on Friday 28 February, consists of eight original compositions born from Saccocci's creativity, conceived in the contemporary jazz vein. A CD from which, in a preponderant way, bold melodic, harmonic, rhythmic and timbric solutions emerge, arising from a profound stylistic research aimed at recognisability; in addition to a rich interplay that enhances its value. Accompanying Lewis Saccocci on this sonic journey, two very talented musicians: Enrico Bracco (guitar) and Valerio Vantaggio (drums). The author of Inceptum tells the story of the genesis and describes the mood of his new recording creation: «Inceptum means beginning, but also project. This is the title of my new work, the first in which I explore the compositional and expressive possibilities of the Hammond organ. The album contains eight original songs, through which I have sought different expressive paths, with an instrument usually associated with more traditional sounds in the jazz field. In this new beginning, inceptum, I am joined by musicians of great fame such as Enrico Bracco on guitar and Valerio Vantaggio on drums».
