The Moritz Weiß Klezmer Trio continues the story of Klezmer, reinterpreting it in a wonderfully expanded musical language. Founded in 2015, this virtuosic trio builds a bridge between the past and the present, respectfully honoring the Jewish musical tradition while allowing it to encounter musical forms and styles from other eras. In their pieces, which range from intricately structured to high-energy, the young trio weaves Klezmer in an artful and multi-layered way with elements of jazz, classical music, and more. The result is a sound that touches the heart with its melodies, sparks the imagination, and opens the door to an entirely new musical realm.
