Joke Lanz & Petr Vrba - Mutants in Siberia (2025) Hi-Res

Petr Vrba and Joke Lanz met each other many years ago while standing in the cue for the Hermitage museum in Saint Petersburg Russia. They never made it into the museum, instead they went to eat Solyanka soup and drunk red wine from Georgia. That’s when they decided to join forces and create a power duo w/ electrified trumpet, turntables, electronics and voice. They have toured Czech Republic twice and performed several times in Vienna and Berlin.
Mutants In Siberia is their debut album recorded at Punctum studio Prague in 2023.

Petr Vrba is a unrelenting explorer of non-idiomatic improvisation using trumpet, clarinets, synths, DIY electronics and vibrating speakers. This made him one of the most active experimental musician in Prague these days. He is founder (with George Cremaschi) of Prague Improvisation Orchestra and bands like Poisonous Frequencies, Junk & The Beast (w/ Veronika Mayer), The moND (w/ Ken Ganfield & Pasi Mäkelä), NOIZ (w/ Thomas Lehn & Tiziana Bertoncini) and many others. He regularly works with dancers and filmmakers. Petr has played with Xavier Charles, Angélica Castelló, Michel Doneda, Axel Dörner, Isabelle Duthoit, Kai Fagaschinski, Susanna Gartmayer, Franz Hautzinger, Christof Kurzmann, Michael Zerang and many others.
He is also the dramaturgist for Alternativa festival in Prague and Radio DJ at Radio 1.

Joke Lanz aka Sudden Infant is an internationally known turntablist, noise artist, performer and vocalist. Active since the late 80’s he has performed at some of the most prominent festivals for improvised and contemporary music i.e. Konfrontationen Nickelsdorf, März Musik Berlin, All Ears Oslo, HCMF Huddersfield, Re-Musik Saint Petersburg, A L’Arme Festival Berlin, Wien Modern, Meteo Festival Mulhouse, Unerhört Zürich, Unlimited Wels, Artacts St. Johann, Transart Bozen and many more. He regularly performs with Shelley Hirsch, Sophie Agnel, Ute Wassermann, Almut Kühne, Olaf Rupp a.o.
