It's just as well that Masha Qrella's new 6th studio album "Songbook" will soon be released. Among other things, she has recorded great minimalist cover versions of world hits and has resurrected the dog, cat, donkey and cockerel of the Bremen Town Musicians in her own compositions for a dystopian musical comedy by Martin Heckmanns. She makes Novalis sound like Saint Etienne and Manfred Krug like Thomas Brasch.
