Review by Scott Yanow

The music on George Bishop's set is mostly pretty lightweight, commercial crossover music that is not particularly memorable. Bishop's own playing is excellent and his versatility in switching between flute, alto, soprano, and bass clarinet makes one regret that he does not perform more challenging music on this release. His rhythm section is pretty anonymous, the use of electronic rhythms and synthesizers is not too inventive, and his originals are forgettable. Bishop is capable of much better.
