Alvin Davis - Sweet Bitter Love (2025)

Alvin Davis is a well known artist in the Soul, Jazz and Reggae world. He has worked alongside mainstream artists including the likes of: Andy Hamilton, Rose Royce, Edwin Starr, The Foundations, Neville Staples (The Specials & Fun Boy Three), Jackie Graham, Nigel Kennedy and Reggae wise: Alton Elis, Macka B, Maxi Priest, David Hinds (Steel Pulse), Apache Indian and many others. Alvin hooked up with Alien Dread in 2014 and has been a studio regular ever since.

This particular album features sixteen Rocksteady & Reggae instrumental versions taken from 2024 session work at AD Studio. The rhythm tracks were originally written for a vocal album by Amanda J Christos & The Sounds of Melodies called “Together We Are Beautiful” (IRONCD040).

Each track also features percussion work by Asha B and guitar from Steven “Marley” Wright, all mixed and produced by Alien Dread & ISR. With thanks to Lindel Lewis (Piano Track 7) & The Blackstones for musical input.
