Kalle Kalima feat. Greg Cohen & Max Andrzejewski - High Noon (2016)

"High Noon" is the original title of the film High Noon (The Train will whistle three times). It's a famous 1952 Western directed by Fred Zinnemann, for which composer Dimitri Tiomkin penned one of his most beautiful scores. This score is revisited by Kalle Kalima, who even named his album released on the Act label after it. Three other pieces of music by Tiomkin are also central to the Finnish guitarist's disc. With bassist Greg Cohen and drummer Max Andrzejewski, Kalima doesn't limit himself to film music, as his High Noon offers a broad musical palette ranging from Sibelius to Leonard Cohen via Marty Robbins! This album is above all an opportunity for the guitarist to showcase the extent of his talent and the different shades of his sound palette. The striking understanding, not to say complicity, with his rhythm section makes High Noon even more endearing.
