R&B singer Brenton Wood from San Pedro, California, where many Chicanos live, became popular with his consecutive hits "The Woogum Boogum Song" and "Gimme Little Sign," pop numbers with a unique "sweetness" that appealed to the Chicano community. This first album (1967), which includes these two songs, is his masterpiece. It also includes a cover of Count Five's garage hit "Psychotic Reaction," and is a great album that showcases his smart pop sense. Two bonus tracks are added.
