Lost Words is the first of two post-diagnosis albums by percussionist Tim Barnes, following his 2021 Alzheimer’s diagnosis. Produced by Ken Brown, the project features an all-star avant-garde cast including Jim O’Rourke, Oren Ambarchi, and Glenn Kotche. The record traverses a broad stylistic range, anchored by Barnes’s unwavering rhythmic drive.
