"Teaser Blueser" is the name of this full length album by Blue Escape as well as the opening track. It is written in a playful fashion by singer Johanna Lillvik and the theme is a version of the childish melody called 'catch me if you can'. The phrase creates the setting of these ten gems of jumpy, swingin´, eclectic songs, furnished in a quaint fashion. As if finding yourself in a room full of splendid antiques, full of stories and riddles, yet never looses its sense of topicality. This is an album to dance to, to marvel at and to cheer you up. Even the afro american spirituals contains a sense of heart warming comfort that will ease your troubled mind. Give yourself a break and let yourself be swept away by the irresistible sounds from Torbjörn Stensons saxophone, the vivid piano-playing of Örjan Hill, the clever drumming of Åke Göransson, Lars Mellqvists confident bass and the alluring vocals of Johanna Lillvik. The Swedish boogie blues jazzband Blue Escape released an EP 2020 that got brilliant reviews from all over Europe. Together with the charismatic singer Johanna Lillvik they´ve toured frequently ever since and every concert renders the audience in absolute awe. Their interpretation of this music, spanning throughout a century, starting in the mid 19th century, with its roots spread out from New Orleans to New York, is a sublime celebration.
