Carter's Chord – Carter's Chord (2012)

The debut album from the sister trio Carter's Chord opens with the sassy country-pop of the first single, "Boys Like You (Give Love A Bad Name)," but after that opener, things settle down into a more traditionally minded country groove. The sisters' appealing harmonies remain front and center on each song, with the bright but not overly slick arrangements recalling vintage Dixie Chicks. Other highlights include "Dear Baltimore" and "Song of Blue."
