Jeff Potter is a rockin' boogie-woogie pianist and singer from Albany, New York, who writes all his own material and also plays organ, guitar and drums. Although he has several obvious influnces such as Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino, The Big Bopper and The Blasters, his recordings have a timeless style. The '50s make up the backbone of this cool cat but within this big beat you can feel the '40s jump swing right into the '70s ted revival. At home base he frequently gigs with rockabilly band The Lustre Kings; here on his own new album he is accompanied throughout by Graham Tichy (lead guitar, bass & harmony vocals) with Betsy Dawn Williams (guitar, backing vocals), Matt Mirabile (guitar), Jim Haggerty (bass) and Todd Wulfmeyer (bass) guesting on some tracks.
