He is perhaps best remembered as a poet and songwriter, having collaborated with Bob Marley, Eddie Palmieri, Johnny Nash, Irma Thomas, Jimi Hendrix, Peter Tosh, Shorty Rogers, and others.

Jimmy Norman’s Wailin’ Riddims offers fans of rare soul and rhythm & blues a unique journey through early Jamaican sessions from 1968, restored and released in 2023 by the Soul Tay Shus label.
