Balu Brigada return with Portal, a vibrant alt-pop record brimming with sleek hooks and sharp production. The album includes the streaming hit ‘Backseat’ – which racked up over a million UK streams in just six weeks – and the anthemic ‘So Cold’, a track that’s already surpassed three million UK streams and appeared on the FC25 soundtrack. The band recently brought ‘So Cold’ to late-night TV with a performance on Jimmy Kimmel, and will feature on the cover of NME.
Hailing from Auckland, New Zealand, the duo’s rise has been rapid. They lit up stages worldwide during a 76-date arena tour with Twenty One Pilots, closing the run with two sold-out nights at London’s O2 Arena. Their sound has found strong support from BBC Radio 1’s Future Artists and Indie Show teams. Currently storming European festival stages, they will cap the summer with a Reading and Leeds appearance to coincide with the release of Portal.
