"Die Trying" is an ambitious double album from the American rock band New Medicine, marking their first full-length effort in a decade. The record is conceptually split into two distinct parts. The first side delivers heavy, introspective, and more serious rock, touching on themes of struggle and hardship. The second side, in contrast, showcases the band's signature sound: high-energy, anthemic "party rock" tracks filled with humor and catchy hooks. According to frontman Jake Scherer, this structure was designed to present the full spectrum of the band's emotions and musical styles accumulated over their long hiatus.
