"The Sound of You Laughing" is the debut full-length album by Canadian artist ThxSoMch. The album was written and recorded over a seven-month period of isolation in Brazil, which the artist describes as an escape and a distraction. The sound of the record blurs the lines between alt-rock, post-punk, emo, and SoundCloud-era rap. It was produced by grayskies (known for his work with d4vd and Wisp) and mixed by Mike Crossey (The 1975, Arctic Monkeys). The artist himself describes the album as "the sound of acceptance, of mockery and coping," stating that it serves not as a cure, but as a distraction.
