The following album started as an EP and in the end formed into a feeling about the people we have lost, the grief that comes from loss, the connection we have with people when they are no longer with us, and the struggle and existential existence we seem to have in the face of the greatest challenges of our time. The hope is that love will endure and people will appreciate what they have in front of them and remember that those that we have lost are still there entangled with us where time is non-linear, where we experience a life of birth and death simultaneously. When I started writing my first album I figured if I did that I would be happy and chalk it down, tick it off the bucket list (before I died). This second album really helped me understand a little clearer my own grief from the loss of friends and family and how much I still hold them dear in my heart years after we lost them in this world. I grew immensely from the process of writing this album and committed to writing as much as I could albeit with limited time to do so. The album started its journey as a demo of ‘Give me sun’ in 2023, followed by its release in 2024. Since then it grew into a larger body of work that has seen me work with people I never thought I would ever get to work with. Thank you for listening to it.
