Grinded Grin - Celestial Veil (2025)

Celestial Veil is a new album by the Croatian collective Grinded Grin, featuring original The Mars Volta drummer Blake Fleming. The album moves toward a more accessible yet profound and artistic sound compared to their previous release, Charlatan. The record is infused with a more powerful rock structure, clearer song forms, and an emotional depth that at times reveals a surprising tenderness. The album opens with a beautiful ballad, which is arguably the most intimate track in the band’s discography to date. A defining element of the album is the constant presence of female vocals by Fe Malefiz, who guides the listener through each of the seven tracks.
