Under the direction of Dominick DiOrio, NOTUS has emerged as one of America’s most luminous contemporary vocal collectives — a vibrant laboratory of living, breathing music. WEAVING ETERNITY gathers works by five composers whose styles range from radiant abstraction to folkloric murmur, unified by a shared sense of harmonic color. While the structures may resist conventional corsets of musical form, the works speak in lucid polyphony — at times recalling the daring of Prokofiev or Dvořák’s more otherworldly harmonies. This is not an academic display, but a kind of choral dreaming: fluid, prismatic, and wide awake. If NOTUS charts the future of vocal music, WEAVING ETERNITY is the sound of its loom in motion.
