The German band Wildes Holz, consisting of recorder, guitar, and double bass, presents their project "Block Party"—an energetic and ironic style of music they call "Wooden rock." Having been together for 25 years, the trio is known for its virtuosic performances and its ability to break genre boundaries by mixing rock, pop, jazz, classical, and even bhangra. The musicians, especially recorder player Tobias Reisige, have become famous for transforming the humble recorder into a powerful and expressive instrument, proving that any kind of music can be played on it.
