Damien O'Kane, Ron Block - BANJOVIAL (2025) [Hi-Res]

Banjo masters Damien O'Kane and Ron Block have released their third collaborative album, titled "Banjovial." The record continues to develop their unique sound, which combines Irish tenor banjo and American bluegrass. The album is a joyful fusion of traditional roots with modern arrangements and complex rhythms, featuring all-original compositions by the musicians themselves. In addition to instrumental tracks, the album includes one vocal piece from each artist. Their regular band and guest stars, such as Irish accordionist Sharon Shannon and bluegrass musicians Aubrey Haynie and Tim Crouch, also contributed to the recording, giving the sound a dynamic and innovative quality.
